VINARTE Terase Danubiene Rose

DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN : D.O.C. – C.M.D. Mehedinti – Starmina

PRODUCER: the wine is produced and bottled at Starmina Winery – Vinarte

CLIMATE: temperate – continental with Mediterranean influences.

SOIL: argillaceous alluvial with gravel and sand sediments, and reddish-brown in higher areas.

VARIETY: Pinot Noir 40%, Merlot 30%, Feteasca Neagra 20%, Cabernet Sauvignon 10%.

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12,50% vol.

VINIFICATION: manual harvesting in plastic crates, de-stemming and crushing, cooling and then the pressing of the must in membrane presses, at low pressures. Fermentation is done separately for each variety and it takes place in stainless steel tanks at automatically-controlled low temperature (about 17oC).

TASTING NOTESVisually: clear, bright, intense pink color with copper highlights. Olfactory: deep, intense, with aromas of ripe forest fruit, strawberries, cherries, hints of spices. Gustative: dry, full-bodied, tasty, slightly acid, intense finish.

GASTRONOMIC ASSOCIATIONS: the optimum drinking temperature is of 12o C. Excellent with seafood, salmon, red tuna, shellfish, fresh salami and sausages, salads with seafood.

AGING POTENTIAL: the wine may be drunk fresh or slightly aged (1-2 years), thus acquiring a complex bouquet.
